Path of Liberation

Meditation Training and Buddhist Studies, online

Path of Liberation Buddhist Teaching Program
Path of Liberation Buddhist Teaching Program

The Path of Liberation is an experiential path of Buddhist study and meditation training offered under the guidance of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and the Tergar tradition. It is designed for those who wish to learn Buddhism online through a structured and progressive approach grounded in authentic Tibetan Buddhist teachings.

This path builds directly on the foundations of the Joy of Living programme, creating a clear continuation of structured meditation training. It encompasses essential practices from Tibetan Buddhism and introduces advanced methods from the Mahamudra and Dzogchen traditions, which work to reduce the causes of suffering and reveal the natural, radiant awareness underlying all experience.

Buddhist studies are presented in a clear step by step format across five progressive levels. Each stage explores the unity of awareness, love and compassion, and wisdom, known in this tradition as the “nature of mind.” This structured learning path allows students to study Buddhism online at their own pace while integrating meditation practice into daily life in a practical and experiential way.

Explore Buddhism through a clear structured step-by-step path, designed to build your understanding progressively.

Learn online with the flexibility to go at your own pace, allowing you to fit the teachings into your daily life.

The Tergar Lineage is a stream of spiritual teachings formed by the merging of two great tributaries, the Karma Kagyu lineage and the Nyingma lineage.

Historically, the Karma Kagyu lineage was transmitted to successive incarnations of Mingyur Rinpoche primarily through the Karmapas (beginning with the 10th Karmapa) and Tai Situ Rinpoches (starting with the 8th), while the Nyingma lineage came both through terma (treasure teachings) and through interaction between various Nyingma and Kagyu masters. In this life, the 7th Mingyur Rinpoche received the Karma Kagyu transmissions primarily from Tai Situ Rinpoche and Saljey Rinpoche, and the Nyingma transmissions primarily from Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche.

The Tergar lineage of today draws on this rich history and adds to it the current Mingyur Rinpoche’s distinctive approach, incorporating modern presentations of the teachings to make them available and accessible to people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Tergar Lineage

" In the Path of Liberation, all the teachings are given step by step.

There are five levels, all of which explore the unity of awareness, love & compassion, and wisdom, which is within you and is what we call the “nature of mind.”

By doing that, if you really practice again and again, then it becomes a deeper spiritual journey.

And in the end, it can lead you to full awakening "
